Michael Cristofer, born in 1945, is an accomplished American playwright, screenwriter, actor, director and librettist. With a career spanning several decades, Cristofer has earned numerous accolades for his work, including a Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play "The Shadow Box." He is also known for his work as a screenwriter on films such as "The Witches of Eastwick" and "Falling in Love," and for his roles in TV shows like "Mr. Robot" and "American Horror Story." Cristofer wrote the libretto for the opera "Champion," which premiered in 2013.
