After leaving the company in 1983 due to health issues, he pursued various ventures, including founding Vulcan Inc., investing in sports teams like the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers, and supporting numerous philanthropic causes. Allen passed away in 2018, leaving a legacy of innovation and philanthropy.
