Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney, born in 1942, is a legendary musician, singer-songwriter and composer who gained worldwide fame as the bass guitarist and co-lead vocalist of The Beatles. His songwriting partnership with John Lennon remains one of the most successful in music history. After The Beatles disbanded, McCartney had a highly successful solo career and formed the band Wings. He is known for timeless hits such as "Yesterday," "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be." McCartney is a two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of The Beatles in 1988, and as a solo artist in 1999), and has won numerous Grammy Awards. His contributions to music, along with his work in animal rights, philanthropy and music education, have made him one of the most influential and admired figures in the industry.
