Richard Meier
Richard Meier, born in Newark, New Jersey in 1934, is an acclaimed American architect known for his modernist designs characterized by their white facades and geometric forms. He studied architecture at Cornell University. Meier's early career included working with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill before founding his own firm in 1963. Notable projects include the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. His work emphasizes light, space and the relationship between buildings and their surroundings.
