Sebastião Salgado is a Brazilian photographer born in 1944, known for his black and white photographs depicting social and environmental issues. Salgado recently launched his first NFT project, "Amazônia," a series of photographs showcasing the Amazon rainforest and its indigenous people, with proceeds going towards protecting the rainforest. Salgado's previous works include "Workers," "Genesis," and "Migration." He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts and the International Center of Photography's Infinity Award for Lifetime Achievement.
