Steina Vasulka
Steina Vasulka, born in Iceland and later based in the United States, is a pioneering figure in video art and electronic media. Alongside her husband Woody Vasulka, she founded The Kitchen, an influential New York City-based space dedicated to video and electronic arts. Her work, known for its exploration of the visual possibilities of video and sound, has been exhibited internationally, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the National Gallery of Iceland, showcasing her significant contribution to contemporary media art.
