Susan Jaffe
Susan Jaffe (born 1962) is an American ballet dancer, choreographer, and director, renowned for her former role as a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre (ABT). Born in Washington, D.C., Jaffe was often hailed as "America's quintessential ballerina," and her remarkable technique and dramatic skills graced numerous leading roles in the classical and modern repertoires. After retiring from performing, she transitioned into leadership and educational roles, including serving as the Dean of Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and in 2020, she became the Artistic Director of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
