Wayne Thiebaud
Wayne Thiebaud, born on November 15, 1920, in Mesa, Arizona, was a celebrated American painter known for his vibrant depictions of everyday objects such as pies, cakes and gumball machines. He studied at San Jose State College and later at Sacramento State College. Thiebaud's work is often associated with the Pop Art movement, though his style combines elements of realism and abstraction. Notable works include "Cakes" and "Three Machines." His art is characterized by its bold colors, rich textures and playful subject matter.
