David Neumann
Founder at Newmation

David Neumann previously worked at powerhouse agency CAA where he represented Harry Potter director David Yates, His Dark Materials star Ruth Wilson, and Mattel Inc. among others. But in November, Neumann struck out on his own when he created Newmation, a new production and management company focused on animation.
The timing couldn’t have been better as COVID-19 has further elevated the already valuable animation space, which is comparatively less expensive than live action and far more feasible from a production standpoint under current conditions. Prior to the pandemic, animated films and TV series had already emerged as a key battleground within the increasingly competitive streaming wars.
Though Newmation is in its infancy, it already lists several heavy hitters among its clients including Oscar winner Hugh Welchman (Loving Vincent), Gary Trousdale (Beauty and The Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame), and Anita Doron (The Breadwinner).
“I am so thrilled to announce the launch of Newmation. I feel there is no better time than now to dive head-first into this new venture,” Neumann said in a statement. “With relatively low industry competition amongst agencies and management companies, but the demand for animation content significantly increasing, especially during our COVID world, this is a big opportunity. It is an honor to work with these talented filmmakers and I can’t wait to share our unique projects with the world that both kids and adults can enjoy for generations to come.”
