The Bronx Museum of the Arts is located at 1040 Grand Concourse, The Bronx, NY. The museum was established in 1971. It focuses on contemporary art and the work of artists of African, Asian and Latin American descent. The museum is housed in a modern building with a striking facade designed by the architectural firm Arquitectonica. Notable exhibitions include “Uptown,” which highlights artists from Northern Manhattan and the Bronx, and “The Life and Times of Alvin Baltrop,” showcasing the work of the photographer known for documenting the 1970s and 80s New York City waterfront.
