Cleveland Museum of Art

The Cleveland Museum of Art, founded in 1913, houses a comprehensive collection of more than 61,000 artworks spanning 6,000 years of history. The museum’s collection includes notable works by artists such as Caravaggio, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet and Picasso, along with significant collections of Asian and Egyptian art. The Cleveland Museum of Art is housed in a Beaux-Arts building, with modern expansions designed by architect Rafael Viñoly completed in 2013. It offers programs such as “MIX at CMA,” a monthly event with music and activities, and the “Ingalls Library,” one of the largest art research libraries in the United States. The museum provides free admission to its permanent collection, emphasizing accessibility and community engagement. Read more about Museums.
