Dia Beacon

The Dia Beacon is located at 3 Beekman St, Beacon, NY 12508 and was established in 2003 as part of the Dia Art Foundation. Housed in a former Nabisco box-printing factory along the Hudson River, the museum features 240,000 square feet of gallery space designed by artist Robert Irwin and architect OpenOffice. Dia Beacon specializes in displaying large-scale installations and contemporary art from the 1960s to the present. The collection includes significant works by artists such as Richard Serra, Dan Flavin and Donald Judd. Notable installations include Serra’s monumental steel sculptures and Flavin’s fluorescent light works. Dia Beacon also hosts temporary exhibitions, artist lectures and educational programs providing an immersive experience for visitors and contributing to the appreciation of contemporary art.
