Europa

A bright, contemporary gallery space with large windows overlooking a cityscape, featuring an installation by Swivel at Independent 2025. Sculptural works resembling oversized plastic grocery bags filled with produce, chips, and receipts are suspended on the wall and placed on the floor. Wall-mounted vertical arrangements of snack bags are secured with bold-colored straps. The installation humorously critiques consumer culture and everyday consumption through hyperreal, soft-sculpture renditions of common grocery items. The space is minimal, allowing the playful and detailed works to stand out.
