LA MOCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is located at 250 South Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA. The institution was established in 1979 and is dedicated to contemporary art. MOCA operates three distinct venues: MOCA Grand Avenue, the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and MOCA Pacific Design Center. The museum’s collection features over 7,000 works from 1940 to the present, including significant pieces by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Barbara Kruger. MOCA is known for its cutting-edge exhibitions, such as “Basquiat” and “With Pleasure: Pattern and Decoration in American Art 1972–1985.” The museum also hosts various educational programs, artist talks, and public events, engaging the community with contemporary artistic practices and ideas.
