The Design Museum, established in 1989, is located in London, England. Initially housed in a former banana warehouse in Shad Thames, the museum relocated in 2016 to the former Commonwealth Institute building in Kensington, redesigned by architect John Pawson. The museum focuses on contemporary design in every form, including fashion, architecture, graphics, and industrial design. Its collection features works by notable designers such as Zaha Hadid, Paul Smith and Jonathan Ive. The Design Museum aims to promote the understanding and appreciation of design and its impact on the world.
