Museum of Arts and Design
The Museum of Arts and Design is located at 2 Columbus Cir, New York, NY. Established in 1956, the museum focuses on contemporary and modern craft, art and design, showcasing a wide range of materials and techniques. MAD’s collection includes over 3,000 objects featuring works in ceramics, glass, wood, metal and fiber. Notable artists represented in the collection include Dale Chihuly, Wendell Castle and Judy Chicago. The museum is housed in a distinctive building designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture situated at Columbus Circle.
