New York Theatre Ballet

New York Theatre Ballet (NYTB), located at 131 East 10th Street, New York City, is a respected ballet company known for its innovative and intimate performances. Founded in 1978 by Diana Byer, NYTB focuses on presenting classic and contemporary ballet works on a smaller scale, making the art form accessible to a wide audience. The company is celebrated for its meticulous attention to detail and its ability to bring lesser-known works to life alongside beloved classics. NYTB’s repertoire includes works by renowned choreographers such as Antony Tudor, Frederick Ashton, and Agnes de Mille, as well as new pieces by emerging talents. The company’s mission is to preserve and promote the art of ballet through performance, education, and community engagement. NYTB offers numerous educational programs, including classes and workshops for children and adults, designed to foster an appreciation for ballet and develop the next generation of dancers. Performing in venues throughout New York City and on tour, New York Theatre Ballet continues to contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of the city, providing high-quality ballet performances that are both entertaining and educational.
