Queens Museum

The Queens Museum is located at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Building, Queens, NY. The institution was established in 1972. The museum is dedicated to presenting contemporary art and serving the diverse communities of Queens. It is housed in the historic New York City Building, which was constructed for the 1939 World’s Fair and later used for the United Nations General Assembly. Notable exhibits include the Panorama of the City of New York, a detailed scale model of the city’s five boroughs, and “Never Built New York,” which showcases architectural projects that were never realized. The Queens Museum also offers educational programs, community outreach initiatives and public events, fostering cultural enrichment and engagement within the local community.
