Residencies Announced for The Shandaken Project at Storm King
Earlier this year, The Shandaken Project—a residency program that offers artists and thinkers of all disciplines a place to stay in the Catskills for up to six weeks as they relax and create things—announced that it would be moving 60 miles down the Hudson to the Storm King Art Center. Now, those who get the chance to participate in Shandaken will not only have room and board, a private studio, acres and acres of green space glistening in the summer sun, an escape from the sweaty mess that is New York in the summer—they'll also have gigantic sculptures by Ursula Von Rydingsvard and Alexander Calder to ponder over.
