Rubell Museum
The Rubell Museum is located at 65 I St SW, Washington, DC 20024. The institution was established in 1993 by collectors Donand Mera Rubell. The museum is housed in a former Drug Enforcement Administration confiscated goods facility, which was transformed into a 100,000-square-foot exhibition space in 2019. The Rubell Museum features one of the largest private contemporary art collections in North America, with over 7,200 works by more than 1,000 artists, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Cindy Sherman.
