Your Apartment Under Water: Climate Center Map Shows Rising Sea Levels in NYC
The study shows that parts of New York will be under water in less than fifty years, even with dramatic cuts to carbon emissions (Goodbye, most of Staten Island!). Areas of the city including Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Long Island City, and Red Hook would be submersed. The coasts of Brooklyn and Queens would also be eaten away by the surrounding water.
