SFMOMA

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) is located at 151 Third St, San Francisco, CA. The museum is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Located in downtown San Francisco, the museum underwent a major expansion in 2016, with a new building designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta. SFMOMA’s collection includes over 33,000 works of painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design and media arts. Notable artists featured in the collection include Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol and Gerhard Richter. The museum is known for its significant holdings of photography and its commitment to contemporary artists. SFMOMA hosts major exhibitions such as “Andy Warhol—From A to B and Back Again” and “Diane Arbus: In the Beginning.” The museum also offers a variety of educational programs, artist talks and public events, fostering engagement with modern and contemporary art.
