As museums globally have increased ticket prices, driven by inflation, higher operational costs and expanding programs, art lovers and artists have pushed back.
Be still my heart, there's more upheaval at DC museums! This time it's the Freer, which will close in January for a renovation that will last well over a year. It's only the second renovation in the museum's nearly 100 year history, so perhaps it needs a facelift. Go in the next few months to see the Peacock Room, Washington's not bad as long as you only spend an afternoon there!
